Our client is seeking a dynamic individual to take on the role of Procurement Manager within their Hardware Division. The ideal candidate is well-versed in manufacturing environments, has a proven track record in Far East sourcing, and is comfortable navigating negotiations and conference calls with suppliers. If you possess organizational skills, financial acumen, and a strategic mindset, I encourage you to apply. A degree or professional qualification is a plus, but not essential - we value experience and expertise.

About the Role:

As a Procurement Manager, you will take ownership of procurement within the Hardware Division, overseeing relationships with over 60 partners and suppliers. Your main duties will include managing pricing files, conducting value chain analysis, and actively participating in new product development. You'll work closely with the Quality Manager to ensure ethical audits are up-to-date and contribute to the development of standard hardware partnership contracts. Your role will be crucial in driving down total costs and maintaining Westland's position as highly profitable and competitive.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. UK Pricing Files:Manage UK pricing agreements with suppliers, ensuring accuracy on the system for margin management, pricing, and supplier payment.
  2. WSP Pricing Files:Update and manage customer pricing files for our USA partner, ensuring smooth translation of pricing quotations, order placement, and invoice payment.
  3. Value Chain Analysis:Benchmark current product costs, maintain commodity pricing and material costs, and ensure purchasing in the correct pricing groups for product quality.
  4. New Product Development:Identify improvements and new product development opportunities, including alternative sources, materials, and suppliers.
  5. Factory Analysis:Assist the Quality Manager in updating factory and ethical audits, ensuring compliance with selected factory/partner standards.
  6. Contracts:Develop standard Hardware partnership contracts and unique agreements with each factory/partner, ensuring adherence in regular business relationships.
  7. Factory Credits:Ensure follow-up and obtainment of all agreed credits/rebates from factory/partner relationships.
  8. Factory Liaison:Build and maintain direct relationships between Westland and the factory to enhance the partnership and proactively address potential challenges.
  9. Supplier Files:Maintain and update supplier files, including performance reviews, shipping accuracy, quality reviews, and turnover performance.

About the Client:

Our client is a leading player in the hardware and gardening industry with a commitment to maintaining value for money and a focus on long-term profitability. As a key member of the procurement team, you'll contribute to the success of the business by delivering cost savings and ensuring efficient supplier relationships.
