Procurement Manager | Fresh Produce | Kent

We are currently working with a very progressive and forward thinking Fresh Food business, who have made some brilliant strides forward in recent years. As a result of this they have a requirement for an experienced Procurement Manager to join their team. This role will suit a hands on Procurement Manager who will get under the skin of the whole supply chain and ensure it is running as effectively as possible.

The Role:-
You will be responsible for the procurement of some key fruit categories and ensuring stock levels are maintained.
The company have an established grower base and you will be responsible for working closely with them to develop the supply chain.
You will also be responsible for managing the forecasts and budgets, ensuring you are working closely with the commercial and technical teams to gain team buy in.
This role will also involve close links with the Retailer to ensure a good collaborative approach.

The Candidate:-
You will have experience of sourcing fresh produce from around the world, (ideally fruit) but you will be used to a mixture of air and sea freighting
You will ideally have around 5-8 years of experience in this category and be looking to step into a business where you can continue your onward progression.
Experience of developing (not just managing) supplier relationships is important as they work very closely with all of their partners.
The ability to speak another European language (Spanish is preferable) will be a clear advantage.
