Are you an experienced production professional looking to take your next big step in the food or fresh produce sector? A well-established, forward-thinking food manufacturing business is seeking a talented Production Manager to lead daily operations within a high-performing, fast-paced environment.
The Role
As a Production Manager, you will:
Lead and manage the day-to-day operations across designated production or packhouse areas.
Build and mentor a high-performing, motivated team focused on efficiency and quality.
Drive KPI performance and ensure customer orders are fulfilled in full, on time, and to specification.
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, BRC, and Red Tractor standards.
Oversee stock control, packaging, and ordering to support production.
Work cross-functionally with technical, planning, and logistics teams to ensure smooth production flow.
Promote and maintain a strong health & safety culture.
Identify and implement strategies for continuous improvement in efficiency, waste reduction, and quality.
About You
You will bring:
3+ years in a similar production or packhouse management role in food or fresh produce.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and manage cross-functional teams.
Solid knowledge of HACCP, BRC, food hygiene, and health & safety protocols (IOSHH desirable).
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Confidence working with KPIs and continuous improvement methodologies.
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel or production systems.
