Job description

This business combines tradition with advanced automation to produce high-quality young plants for UK growers and distributors.
🌿 About the Role
I am currently on the look out for a Production Manager to strengthen their Operations team. You will work alongside an experienced Production Manager and a seasoned operations manager who will be there to help support and guide you within the business. Within this role you'll assist with their people management and growing operations, ensuring plants are produced to the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and accuracy.
Key responsibilities include:
Planning daily growing operations, allocating staff, and monitoring performance.
Managing raw material purchasing and stock accuracy in a bespoke horticultural IT system.
Driving efficiency.
Monitoring KPIs, reporting variances, and ensuring quality targets are consistently achieved.
Supporting seasonal peaks in production and ensuring timely, accurate delivery to customers.
👤 About You
We're looking for someone who brings:
Experience in horticultural/nursery production operations.
Strong organisational and planning skills, with high attention to detail.
Supervisory or team-leading experience is a must, I am looking for someone who can help guide, develop and work with the people to achieve high standards.
Confidence working with stock or production management systems (experience with horticultural IT systems is a plus).
Flexibility and resilience to thrive in a fast-paced, seasonal environment.
