About our Client
Established for over 20 years, this family-run business is an expert grower of cucumber, peppers, and aubergines over 16 acres of glasshouse. They focus on environmentally friendly growing methods and use biological controls where possible. Due to continued growth, we are looking to source a Sales and Procurement Manager to join the team. This is a great opportunity to join the business as they have some very exciting growth plans and this is the perfect time to join and help them to capitalise on them.

About the Role
Working closely with the Head of Commercial you will be responsible for a range of aspects within the business including procurement and account management. The business works on a very lean model, so the decisions you make have a huge impact on the whole business, especially production. You will need to work closely with the Operations team to ensure the smoothest transitions possible. Naturally, you will be responsible for negotiating customer pricing and managing any tenders. They are on a real path of growth so handling this in an effective way is going to be vital.

The Ideal Candidate
If you have experience working in a commercial role within a managerial position, or have experience within procurement or trading within a senior environment then this role may be the perfect step up the ladder. Although fresh produce experience is preferential, it isn't essential. Personality is vital, where the business is looking for someone with a 'get up and go' attitude that can hit the ground running from day 1. The environment is very fast paced, and they work with a range of contracts including a major retailer, meaning a professional attitude is vital to succeed.
