Seed Analyst in Charge | Lincolnshire

We are seeking a unique individual to work as Seed Analyst in Charge to assist in all seed laboratory operations.

The ideal candidate will possess both a seed analyst qualification and an Analyst in charge certificate. You will need to be very organised, show attention to detail, be able to make decisions and communicate well with others.

You must have basic Microsoft Office skills.

Summary of Responsibilities:

Assist in the management and execution of all aspects of seed testing and certification.

Maintain all records in the form prescribed by the Certifying Authority and the Official Seed Testing Station. Keep records up to date and available for inspection at any time.

Liaise with the production team and seed department regarding quality control and provide advice as necessary.

Ensure all laboratory equipment is maintained in good working order and calibrated where appropriate and that all records are kept up to date in accordance with OSTS and ESTA requirements.

Assist with the management and training of temporary laboratory staff.

Maintain personal seed testing, sampling and crop inspecting qualifications where applicable.

Requirements:

Analyst in Charge certification is essential.

Cereal, pulse and oilseed rape knowledge required.

Good attention to detail is critical.

Strong planning and organisation skills.

Able to work effectively as part of a team, supervise and guide others, but also work alone.

Basic IT knowledge with good written and verbal communication skills.
