About our Client

We are working with an independent, family-run business that has been established for nearly 40 years. Over time, they have built a successful business, with a dedicated focus on the environment and sustainability. They are now looking for a Senior department manager who can join the Management team supporting in delivering KPIs and quality customer service for the Garden Care, Machinery, Furniture, BBQ's and Pet & Aquatic Departments.

About the Role

Reporting into the General Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales forward, encouraging and providing excellent customer service. With a particular focus on buying stock, merchandising, and the development of your team. We are looking for a creative, innovative and experienced manager who is strong and enthusiastic when required to lead the strategic development of Internal Gardening & Outdoor Living. Being able to offer a market-leading position with a focus on trends and consideration to our brand image.

The Ideal Candidate

Applicants must have wide knowledge in Garden Care & Outdoor Living products, experience in buying, retail and personnel management. They must have a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, know how to achieve KPIs effectively and have a desire to work with our senior management team to drive the overall success of the business. You will be a strong and positive communicator and be confident in leading large teams.
