What's in it for you?

You'll be working for a leading utilities and infrastructure consultancy business and will enjoy the security that comes with that, with constantly evolving contracts. An excellent remuneration package is on offer, along with an attractive working arrangement which will comprise a mix of home working, site visits and office working.

Our client & the role

We are proud to be working with a leading name in the world of land access consultancy services. This position will focus on a single large project but the business is heavily involved in multiple infrastructure projects across the UK.

We're looking for wayleave officers experienced in electrical and power transmission infrastructure to assist with the ongoing upgrades and maintenance of the network across the South of England.

You will be responsible for interactions with Landowners, arranging access to land to allow the management of overhead electrical work, issuing, negotiating and updating wayleaves, easements and leasehold arrangements, preparation and submission of planning applications and dealing with compensation claims post-work.

The position will involve a fantastic combination of home/office and outside work in some of the most beautiful natural landscapes that the UK has to offer.

The Candidate

Liaising with different departments and stakeholders the ideal candidate will naturally be a good communicator with an eye for detail.

Ideally, you'll be a RICS-qualified professional (either AssocRICS or MRICS). A good understanding or appreciation of The Electricity Act 1989 is essential, and knowledge of utilities construction and maintenance operations would be advantageous. You'll have experience of liaising with landowners, occupiers, and statutory and non-statutory consultees concerning utilities apparatus.

Additionally, an understanding of agricultural practices, the rural economy and issues faced by farmers and stakeholders would be an advantage enabling you to relate to those you'll be dealing with daily.

How to Apply

There is a great salary on offer and a package to match and will be in line with experience. If you would like to discuss the role in more detail please apply below!
