Team Leader

Job description

I'm working with a unique, fast-growing food producer who specialise in crafting and packing premium, natural products for well-known brands. They're small, ambitious, and have built a reputation for quality. This isn't your typical food factory role. The team work in a relaxed, rural environment where quality, teamwork, and attention to detail come first. It's hands-on, varied, and there's genuine scope to grow with the business.

About the role

  • Leading a small production team (up to 5 people), briefing them each morning and keeping things running smoothly

  • Setting up and operating a semi-automated bottling and labelling line (full training provided)

  • Troubleshooting small issues, problem solving, and ensuring top-quality products are packaged

  • Taking responsibility for food safety paperwork and production checks

  • Getting involved in fulfilment for premium brands, from packing web orders to overseeing production runs

  • Supporting clean-downs and preparing for the following day's production

What they are looking for

  • Experience in the food industry (essential)

  • Someone practical, detail-focused, and quick to pick up new skills

  • A natural problem solver who takes pride in delivering a high-quality product

  • Comfortable leading a team but equally happy to roll up their sleeves and work independently

  • Someone who isn't afraid to get stuck in

What's in it for you

  • No weekend working - a steady Monday to Friday shift pattern (8am-5pm)

  • A friendly, young and enthusiastic team who value quality over speed

  • The chance to work in a unique farm-based environment, a refreshing change from standard factories

  • Opportunities to progress as the business grows

  • Extra hours available in busy periods if you want them

If you've worked in food production before and like the sound of joining a small but ambitious business where your contribution really matters, I'd love to chat.
