The business

We are working with a family-owned business that grows a range of fresh produce and combinable crops, supplying into retail, foodservice and food manufactures. They are looking to strengthen the technical team with the appointment of a technical assistant to work across two business units. The role will be varied and will offer loads of opportunity to work with different areas of the business.

The role

As Technical Assistant you will provide cover for the Technical Manager as and when required. Assist production teams with resolving quality-related concerns.

Assist the Technical Manager in upholding GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards on site, you will update KPIs and Technical trending data e.g. complaints, update and review product specifications, complete site Internal Audits, complete traceability exercises and Promote a 'SAFE' culture by ensuring that Health & Safety is adhered to and report any Health & Safety risks / near misses

The candidate

This would suit an agricultural / food science graduate who is looking for their second job. You will have a keen interest in food and farming for this role, along with a pair of wellies.!! Experience of HACCP and good attention to detail. You will have working experience within a quality / technical function along with a flexible approach to work. You must have a full driving licence and car as the role does cover 2 sites.
