We're seeking a Technical Compliance Coordinator to take ownership of supplier technical compliance across numerous fresh produce categories, playing a key role in supporting the business's ambitious growth strategy.

The Role

Reporting into the Supply Chain & Compliance Manager, you'll act as a central point of contact for both suppliers and customers, ensuring all products meet food safety, ethical, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

Your responsibilities will include:

Supplier Due Diligence

• Maintaining and updating approved supplier lists
• Managing risk assessments (pesticide, microbiological, ethical, integrity & segregation, VACCP/TACCP)
• Overseeing new supplier approvals across internal and customer platforms

Compliance & Audit

• Investigating non-conformances and driving corrective actions
• Leading recall and traceability exercises
• Closing out audit actions and supporting customer and third-party audits (BRC, Red Tractor, Soil Association)

Data & Reporting

• Trending non-conformance data and monitoring KPIs
• Leading supplier-approval critical-path meetings to support continuous improvement

Ethical & Responsible Sourcing

• Working closely with the compliance manager to ensure compliance with SMETA, Fairtrade, RFA, SIZA, and other ethical-sourcing standards

What You'll Bring

• Previous experience working in a technical compliance / technical admin role within a fresh produce business
• Strong knowledge of UK food safety and quality systems, ideally within fresh produce
• Hands-on experience in technical or quality roles
• Excellent organisation and time-management skills
• A collaborative mindset with clear, confident communication
