Technical Coordinator / Fresh Produce / Kent

Are you passionate about ensuring top-notch quality and safety standards in fresh produce? Join this dynamic team as a Technical Coordinator based in Maidstone, Kent. You'll play a pivotal role in supporting the UK retail technical team, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer expectations.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting supplier due diligence and technical administration for UK retail customers.
• Maintaining and reviewing documented systems to comply with BRC, Assured Produce, and customer codes of practice.
• Managing internal audits to verify HACCP System and Quality Management System compliance.
• Supporting HACCP Team and fostering HACCP awareness within the business.
• Jointly managing central technical systems (HSE, Food safety & Sustainability).
• Facilitating customer/technical quality visits and audits.
• Handling customer complaints/rejections and managing pesticide and micro testing schedules.
• Maintaining supplier records on the Sedex platform and customer web portals.
• Supporting the business in managing procedures, processes, and legality.

Experience:

• Strong product knowledge in fresh produce - ideally fruit
• Preferably HACCP and BRC trained.
• Proficient in industry-relevant audit and compliance standards.
• Ability to build strong relationships with growers and colleagues.
• Organized, and logical, with excellent administration skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint).
• Excellent communication skills.

Qualifications:

• HNC/Degree in a relevant subject or specific industry experience.
• UK driving license.

Hours

• Core Hours: 40 hours Monday-Friday
• Weekend Work: 1 in 6 technical team rota
• Annual Leave: 25 days + bank holidays
