We are working with a leading FMCG Fresh Produce business and they are looking to strengthen the technical department with the appointment of an experienced Technical Manager. This will be a customer-facing position so experience of dealing with UK retailers is a must-have.

The role

To be lead technical contact on your specific category
To promote and develop all technical projects, policies and initiatives for your category
To manage visits by customers here in the UK and abroad
To manage product quality at packing sites
To work with Head of Technical and develop Technical succession plan

The candidate
You will currently be working within a fresh produce or food business within a technical management role
Ideally have an Agricultural / Food Science degree
Have experience of working with retailers and building good relationships with them.
Enjoy working with growers and suppliers
Excellent commercial awareness
Ability to communicate on all levels
