Technologist - Fresh Produce

Our client is looking for a proactive Technologist / Technical Executive to help maintain their high standards, support innovation, and strengthen relationships with their key customers. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop within one of the UK's most respected produce businesses - blending hands-on technical work with cross-functional collaboration, sustainability, and NPD.

What You'll Be Doing

• Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Managing customer technical systems - from specifications and audit responses to risk assessments.
• Supporting supplier approvals and ensuring compliance with all legal, quality, and customer standards.
• Collaborating with commercial and production teams on new product and packaging innovations.
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and sustainability.
• Preparing presentations, analysing technical data, and responding to customer queries.
• Supporting ESG and continuous improvement initiatives across the business.

What You'll Bring

• Experience in a technical, quality, or compliance role within food, FMCG, or retail (fresh produce ideal!).
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Confident communicator - able to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint a must).
• A proactive, relationship-focused approach and passion for delivering excellence.
