Account Manager

Job description

We're working with a well regarded Fresh Produce business looking to recruit a Account manager to join its commercial team. This role is focused on managing key retail customers, delivering sales growth, and aligning activity with wider business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement business plans for designated customers

  • Manage forecasting, procurement, and production planning in line with sales budgets

  • Monitor market trends and customer strategies to identify new opportunities

  • Propose and deliver customer activity plans including promotions and NPD

  • Work closely with technical teams to meet customer requirements

  • Prepare and submit seasonal tenders

  • Support the Sales Director in developing and delivering strategic plans

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience managing major retail accounts

  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills

  • Commercially astute with a good understanding of retail and FMCG sectors

  • Excellent analytical and organisational skills

  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels

  • A proactive and results-driven approach
