About our Client

You will be joining a long-standing family run food manufacturing business who are passionate about farming and the environment. They have received recognition and awards for their approach to sustainability over the years and look to continue inspire and enable farmers, scientists and consumers that enriches the environment.

About the Role

You'll be the first point of contact, so you'll need to ensure all incoming communications via phone, email or face to face are handled efficiently and effectively. You need to ensure all bookkeeping is entered on the system to create monthly accounts for review by the MD in readiness for the accountant at year end. You will also be accountable for ensuring VAT returns are processed, invoices are entered and signed off and follow up any overdue payments.

You'll also be responsible for also administrative duties like; processing customer orders, liaising with the Production Team, arrange transport with hauliers/couriers, deal with any transport issues, procurement of stationary as needed and assist with stock by carrying out periodic stock checks and allocating orders when necessary.

The Ideal Candidate

Our client is looking for someone who has previous bookkeeping experience or qualifications. Ideally you will need to have experience using planning systems and logistical administration. You will need to be proactive, passionate and determined to grow with the business. Strong communication skills are essential as you'll be communicating with various people and departments.
