Want to join a rapidly developing Fresh Produce Business? We are currently seeking a highly motivated Operations Manager with the ambition and capability to take on full General Manager responsibilities. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a modern fresh produce busienss.

You'll be joining a business that is scaling up, investing heavily in new technology, and looking for a hands-on leader who can take ownership of day-to-day performance while also supporting new approaches to sustainable food production.

The Opportunity

• Lead a small, close-knit on-site team
• Take full responsibility for planning, scheduling, quality, production, and labour management
• Oversee plant health, hygiene standards, and consistent product quality in a controlled environment
• Support new development projects, and technology testing
• Manage site calendars and operational resource planning
• Work closely with technical, maintenance, planning and quality functions

Ideal Background

We are looking for someone who brings a blend of operational expertise and an understanding of working with live plants in a high-care or controlled environment.

You might come from:

• Fresh produce
• Horticulture
• Agronomy
• Glasshouse operations
• Food manufacturing
• Agriculture
• Engineering-led production settings

A background spanning Operations + Horticulture or Operations + Engineering would be particularly well-suited.

Skills & Experience

• Experience leading teams in a production or high-care environment
• Strong planning and organisational capabilities
• Practical understanding of quality, hygiene, and crop care
• Comfortable managing a small team and scaling processes as the site grows
• Good communication skills and the confidence to represent the site internally and externally
• Someone who takes ownership, enjoys autonomy, and wants the responsibility of running their own site
