Are you a successful Agriculture Manager who is looking for a new challenge?

Our Client

We are working with a very value's focused retailer who is looking for an experienced Agriculture Manager to cover maternity leave within their team. This is a great opportunity to join a very well-respected retailer as they prioritise welfare and genuinely grow successful relationships with their farmers and producers.

The role

This role would be specifically focused on maintaining production standards across agriculture from ensuring safe, legal and compliant production, right up until the point of slaughter. You will also be responsible for the agricultural technical direction for the retailer on the topic of raw material sourcing along with innovations and supply chain development. There will be a good deal of communication with Commercial and Technical teams on ethics of sourcing to ensure that is maintained in the face of business needs.

There will also be a responsibility for PR and Marketing to ensure that wider audience of citizens understand and appreciate the approach to sustainable resourcing and the retailer's commitment to its farmers and sustainable supply.

The Candidate


A formal agricultural qualification, ideally a degree with practical livestock experience.
Project management skills and delivering to deadlines is crucial to success in this role as it is a fast-paced environment.
Empathy with agricultural producers is crucial to understanding their stresses of production but also for building long term sustainable relationships.
The ability to provide insight and comprehension of the raw material strategy to allow you to create and deliver on strategic plans, working very closely with external stakeholders.
