What You Will Be Doing
As Farm Manager, you will lead all arable and potato operations. You will:
Manage crop planning, planting, growing, and harvest operations
Develop and trial new crop opportunities to enhance profitability
Create nutrition plans, crop rotations, irrigation schedules, and cultivation strategies
Monitor crop performance, pests, and diseases, implementing preventative and reactive measures
Recruit, train, and manage permanent and seasonal staff
Plan workloads, manage performance, and promote a positive team culture
Oversee machinery and equipment care to ensure efficient use
Manage budgets, input costs, labour planning, and provide performance reporting
Maintain health & safety compliance and champion sustainable farming practices
What You Need
Previous farm management experience, ideally in arable and root crop production
Proven leadership skills with experience managing and motivating teams
Strong organisational, planning, and communication abilities
Knowledge of modern arable and root crop techniques, machinery, and sustainable agriculture
Agricultural qualifications beneficial
A proactive, innovative mindset and interest in crop diversification
