Our client is a UK leader in sustainable forestry and timber harvesting, delivering expert woodland management services focused on long term environmental and commercial success. They are now searching for an Area Manager to lead operations in South West Scotland.

The Role
As Area Manager, you will take charge of day to day operations across the region, managing a talented team of forestry professionals and helping shape the future of sustainable woodland management. You will be responsible for:

  • Managing forests, estates, and contracts to meet client goals and best practice silvicultural standards
  • Driving business development and nurturing client and stakeholder relationships
  • Promoting nature-based solutions that support Scotland's climate resilience
  • Ensuring projects are completed on time, on target, and within budget

What You Will Need
Our client is looking for someone who is motivated, experienced, and excited about taking their forestry career to the next level. You will ideally bring:

  • A background in forestry or a land-based sector
  • Solid knowledge of the UK Forestry Standard and UKWAS
  • A degree or diploma in Forestry or a related field
  • Strong leadership and project management skills
  • Proven commercial and client relationship experience
  • IOSH Managing Safely or similar (e.g. CSCS card, SMSTS)
  • Membership of the Institute of Chartered Foresters (desirable)
  • A full UK driving licence
