About our Client

Established for over 50 years, our client is one of the UK's leading producers of berries. They have several farms across the south of England and run a very successful operation. This role will be based at their 200-acre site just outside of Reading.

About the Role

Reporting to the Farm Manager, you will support the overall running of the farm, ensuring the highest quality berries are being grown. You will be responsible for running large teams, making sure that the people around you are motivated and working efficiently. You will be crop walking, assessing for pests and diseases, monitoring irrigation and any other crop husbandry tasks.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a large scale, protected cropping environment. You will be confident in managing large teams of people and be confident in communication. Knowledge of growing is essential, as this will be your daily focus, although soft fruit experience isn't essential.
