Assistant Harvest Manager | Fresh Produce | Kent

Are you ambitious, hardworking and wanting to get into an Assistant Harvest Manager position, or are you currently an Assistant Harvest Manager looking for a step up within a growing fresh produce business?

About Our Client

We are working with a large commercial farming and fresh produce business that has multiple farms in the South East Area. They are known throughout the fresh produce industry as being innovative, enthusiastic and successful growers of a wide range of different crops and currently have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and passionate Assistant Harvest Manager to join their team.

About the Role

As Assistant Harvest Manager you will work with the Farm Managers onsite and provide written rolling forecast of crop availability and yield. You will ensure that all crops are delivered to the packhouse on time and within the correct specification. You will ensure all crops are safe for Harvest and clear from pests/ diseases and weeds. This will not be a standard "9-5" job due to the nature of fresh produce so we are looking for candidates that are motivated, energetic and hardworking. You will need to be resilient and responsible as well as engaging and able to work from your own initiative.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate would be someone who is passionate about fresh produce / Agriculture and has a background in the industry. This position could suit a recent graduate who wanted to grow and develop into a Harvest Manager. This role would also suit a current Assistant Harvest Manager who was looking for a step up. We are keen on finding someone who is confident, ambitious and willing to learn and be taught. This role could be for someone who is currently in a similar position or an Agricultural graduate who is wanting to learn.
