About Our Client
Our client operates a diverse garden centre that has grown over the years. They are looking to take another step forward and grow their centre further to kick on to the next level. They grow some of their own stock and proudly source products locally wherever possible. They are a close-knit team who pull together to deliver the best customer experience possible. The centre has a large cafe/restaurant, a farm shop and garden area.
About the Role
This role will focus on the garden area of the business and will focus on supporting the General Manager running the centre to deliver the best possible service, offering and retail solutions to the customers. The business has invested in the garden retail area and needs this person to help them to deliver their ambitious plans. You will utilise your knowledge and experience in garden retail to help the business grow and develop the team further. You will be commercially focused and committed to delivering excellent customer service.
The Ideal Candidate
You will have a proven track record as a manager within the Garden Centre industry. You will have a strong background in the garden market and understand the seasonality and challenges that garden centres face. You will need to have a solid plants background or good plant knowledge.. You will be able to come up with concise ways of working and retail strategies to deliver sales. You will be a proven leader and be able to motivate a team to deliver on KPI's and financial goals.
