As the business continues to grow, they're looking for a Campsite and Recruitment Manager who is hands on, people focused, and ready to take ownership of both seasonal recruitment and the daily running of on site accommodation. This is a key role where you'll play an important part in ensuring workers feel welcome, supported, and set up for success throughout the season.
Role Overview:
The Campsite and Recruitment Manager plays a vital dual role within the business:
Managing the day-to-day running of our seasonal workers' accommodation (campsite), ensuring compliance, safety, and wellbeing.
Leading seasonal recruitment efforts, from planning and advertising to onboarding and retention strategies.
This position is central to supporting our seasonal workforce and ensuring a smooth and compliant operation across both accommodation and staffing.
Key Responsibilities:
Campsite Management:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the workers' accommodation, ensuring a safe, clean, and compliant environment.
Act as the primary point of contact for seasonal workers regarding accommodation related issues and welfare support.
Ensure the campsite meets all health & safety, fire safety, and local authority regulations.
Coordinate regular maintenance, inspections, and cleaning schedules.
Implement and enforce campsite policies and procedures.
Support welfare initiatives and provide basic pastoral care in collaboration with HR.
Recruitment:
Lead the seasonal recruitment cycle in partnership with the Operational teams.
Liaise with labour agencies, local job centres, universities, and overseas recruitment partners to attract seasonal workers.
Advertise roles and manage the applicant pipeline.
Coordinate interviews, selection, and onboarding processes.
Monitor workforce numbers to ensure staffing levels meet operational requirements.
Maintain accurate recruitment and worker records in line with GDPR and compliance standards.
Skills & Experience Required:
Previous experience in a similar role within agriculture, food productionor fresh produce environment is fundamental
Strong organisational and administrative skills.
Experience in recruitment, workforce coordination, or HR support.
Knowledge of UK labour laws and worker accommodation standards (e.g., GLAA compliance, HSE regulations).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Empathetic, approachable, and solution focused mindset.
Ability to work flexibly during seasonal peaks, including some weekend or out of hours availability.
