Commercial Manager | Food-to-Go | Hertfordshire |~£40k - £50k

Are you looking to take a step up in your career and hold more P&L responsibility? About our Client:
Our client is a leading supplier of a variety of food products with a great reputation for quality and working collaboratively with their customers. They operate in a very fast paced arena and work closely with one another to ensure orders get to customers in full and on time. They serve chefs and restaurants on a daily basis and thousands of consumers eat their products. They have strong ties to the food scene in London (although they have a national reach) and pride themselves in serving some of the best restaurants in the country. They supply high street names and instantly recognisable brands.

About the Job:
You will use your account management skills and sales energy to identify opportunities within the market and existing accounts to drive sales forward. A strong negotiator, you will have a track record of delivering commercial results and successfully pushing through price increases. Do you go into a sales meeting asking how can I increase sales within this account today? You will have the drive and enthusiasm to out perform any KPI's and want to progress within an organisation. You will be able to take a sophisticated category approach to deliver sales and will be used to dealing with retail type buyers to form long term relationships and supply agreements.

The Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will come from a business supplying fresh or chilled food products into the major retailers, ideally within a food-to-go / ready to eat format. You will have a thorough understanding of category, negotiations, tender processes etc to drive the business further. You will be an existing NAM or NAE or commercial executive looking to take a step up to manage more P&L responsibility and have a good amount of autonomy to deliver results. You will be driven to develop your career, whilst also able to communicate with internal and external stakeholders. You will possess strong commercial acumen and planning skills, with a strong eye for detail. You will have a proven track record of delivering long term account growth and be able to explain your rationale and methods in detail.

Minimum Requirements:
To be considered for this role, as a minimum, you will have a proven track record in delivering account growth in the fresh/chilled food sector supplying the retail customers. You will be driven to progress in your career and a strong communicator.

Salary:
As a guide c £50k + car allowance and package.
