eCommerce Manager | Chilled Food | Grocery

Our client is a leading manufacturer of fresh/chilled food. They supply the major UK food retailers, discounters and foodservice markets with a variety of products. They have a great reputation for quality and service levels and have built real, collaborative relationships with their customers. They have multiple locations across the UK, each with state of the art facilities that have seen significant investment. Our client is committed to delivering products which add value to their customers and consumers.
About the Role
This role will focus on the category relationship for anything the business is doing online with the retailers. You will utilise your category and data experience to drive relationships and make the most of any eCommerce commercial opportunities within the customers. You will be adept at using Excel and know how to make the most of data from Kantar, Dunnhumby etc as well as retailer systems. You will use these skills to ensure our client and their customers are reaching their target market, increasing market share and creating the best possible range of products in the online space in a very fast-paced and short shelf-life product environment. You will work very closely with the NPD, Commercial teams and other internal stakeholders to deliver the best options for the business and customers.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have a proven category background in an eCommerce environment supplying food retailers. You will be dynamic and able to work at a real pace. You will be a strong communicator and be able to stand on your own two feet and be self-assured. You will be able to problem-solve and work closely with internal/external teams to deliver. You will have experience in working with retailer systems. Being able to mine data from Kantar, Dunnhumby and POS providers to create a sales story and category argument based on numbers and data will be imperative to this role. You will be able to present to retailers and show your passion for food and their customers. You will be able to demonstrate your ability to pull levers to affect online sales and results from eCommerce.
To be considered for this role, as a minimum, you will need to have held previous roles as within eCommerce. You will need to have experience with data and be able to show your ability to turn this into a category plan to deliver commercial results.
Our client wants to fill this role ASAP and will likely move quickly for the right person. The process will include two/three stages and a presentation/task involving category data.
