Salary - £22,000 - £28,000 dependent on experience

Our client is a very successful and highly regarded Fresh Produce business. They have been established for a long time and are one of the industry leaders in their category.

About the job:-
This role is a key part of the business and ensures that their produce enters the UK as efficiently as possible. You will be one of the key points of contact with the freight and clearing agents in the UK, ensuring as smooth a process as possible. You will be responsible for tracking vessels and ensuring all goods are forwarded correctly. Given that they work with Fresh Produce, you will need to understand the various clearance requirements, utilising CNS, Datafreight as well as the DEFRA (PEACH) systems.

The Ideal Candidate:-
You will need to have some experience of dealing with imports clearance (ideally good knowledge of sea freight) as well as the onward forwarding requirements as well. Experience of moving Fresh Produce is a definite benefit but not essential. You will be a key point of contact to a number of departments so good communication skills are a must. Given the fluid situation at the moment, you will need to be able to work well independently.
