About the Role
This role is all about delivering business growth through the effective management of the centre and the staff. You will utilise your experience to help the business grow further by motivating the team and delivering an exceptional customer experience throughout the centre. You will bring your energy and passion to work hands-on with the customers and the team. You will drive exceptional practises and lead the team by setting an exemplary example of how things should be done. You will be able to work with the internal team members and the suppliers to create plans for the upcoming seasons and always be on top of the latest trends happening in the market.

The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering commercial performance in the garden retail sector. You will be an excellent communicator and be able to demonstrate your ability to motivate and lead a team. You will be willing to roll up your sleeves and get stuck into improving the customer experience - this could be creating new visual displays, rearranging the layout or setting up for a seasonal event. You will be able to manage the day-to-day running of the centre and be able to demonstrate your focus on the customers and customer service. You will have a positive outlook and see all challenges as an opportunity to learn and improve. You will be able to show your ability to lead best practices within a garden retail environment.

Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will need to have experience in managing a garden centre retail team and a track record of delivering commercial results. You will need to have a positive and flexible approach. The customer will be behind all of the decisions you make and you will always have their best interests at heart. You will need to be able to prove your ability to lead and motivate a team and you will need to have exceptional communication skills. You will be available to work weekends and bank holidays.
