About Our Client
Our client operates a diverse garden centre that has grown over the years. They are looking to take another step forward and grow their centre further to kick on to the next level. They grow some of their own stock and proudly source products locally wherever possible. They are a close-knit team who pull together to deliver the best customer experience possible. The centre has a large cafe/restaurant, a farm shop and a garden area.

About the Role
This role will focus on the garden area of the business and will run the centre to deliver the best possible service, offering and retail solutions to the customers. The business has invested in the garden retail area and needs this person to help them to deliver their ambitious plans. You will utilise your knowledge and experience in garden retail to help the business grow and develop the team further. You will be commercially focused and committed to delivering excellent customer service.

The Ideal Candidate
You will have a proven track record as a General Manager or Garden Centre Manager. You will have experience in leading diverse retail teams to deliver sales and centre growth. You will have a strong background in the garden market and understand the seasonality and challenges that garden centres face. You will ideally have a plants background or good plant knowledge.. You will be able to come up with concise ways of working and retail strategies to deliver sales. You will be a proven leader and be able to motivate a team to deliver on KPI's and financial goals.

Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, as a minimum, you will need to have experience in managing a retail team in the garden industry. You will need to be able to demonstrate your ability to deliver commercial results and work towards common business goals. You will have a proven track record of managing and motivating a team and be able to call on your management experience to deal with any situation.

As a guide ~£35-40k + bonus and package. Full details available upon request. Living accommodation available.
