Goods in/Production Supervisor | Horticulture | Knutsford, Cheshire
£28,000 - £32,000 DOE
Full-time | Monday to Friday | Occasional Saturday (Peak Season)
Are you an experienced Warehouse Supervisor with a passion for plants, or someone from a fast-paced goods environment with a growing interest in horticulture?
I'm working with a family-owned horticultural businesses who are looking for hands-on, people-focused supervisors to help lead their goods in and live goods operations.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Overseeing goods-in, checking off deliveries accurately and uploading information to head office systems.
* Delivering daily briefings to your picking team and keeping the work flowing smoothly under time pressure.
* Tracking outputs, maintaining goods in records, and working closely with other departments to manage stock flow.
* Motivating and managing a team of up to 12 during peak season (typically March-June) and around 5 in quieter months.
* Occasionally assisting in wider nursery duties, from production support to stock maintenance flexibility is key.
What We're Looking For:
* Warehouse, goods-in or production supervision experience, ideally in a horticulture or FMCG environment.
* An eye for quality and a hands-on approach, you don't shy away from physically demanding work.
* Good computer literacy confident working with spreadsheets and internal systems.
* Calm under pressure and capable of keeping the team on track in a fast-paced, seasonal business.
* A genuine interest in plants or horticulture, you don't need to be a plant expert (yet!), but some familiarity helps.
* Strong communicator who leads by example and enjoys getting stuck in.
