The Role: As a Blueberry Harvesting Machinery Specialist, you'll be the linchpin of our harvesting process. From operating and maintaining our cutting-edge machinery to providing guidance and support to our team, you'll play a vital role in driving efficiency and quality control. This is an opportunity to become the go-to expert in blueberry harvesting technology and make a real impact on our operations

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain blueberry harvesting machinery, including optical colour sorter and packaging line, to ensure optimal performance and quality output.
  • Set up and configure machinery according to specific harvesting requirements and product standards.
  • Act as the resident "Guru" of the blueberry harvesting machinery, providing guidance and support to team members as needed.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues with machinery, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
  • Implement strategies to reduce waste in the harvesting process, with a target of reducing waste by 30%.
  • Collaborate with support staff and management to coordinate maintenance schedules, spare parts inventory, and necessary repairs or upgrades.
