About the Role

The role of packaging innovation continues to be highly important to the business, within this role you will work on innovation and a packaging and reduction programme. You will provide technical support and packaging expertise to the businesses. You will manage the intellectual property and innovation ideas for both NPD and EPD. Working closely with suppliers you will set up a packaging development programme to make sure the business is at the forefront of packaging innovation.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have a proven packaging technologist background ideally chilled food sector supplying a major UK retailer. A degree / Diploma in packaging technology or in-depth knowledge of the packaging industry with 5 years' experience in food packaging and systems. You will be a strong communicator and be able to stand on your own two feet and be self-assured. You will be able to problem-solve and work closely with internal/external teams to deliver.

This is a group role covering 3 sites, you will need to manage your time across the business.
