Head of Seed Potatoes | Home-based | Growth

We are working with one of the UK's best and most successful potato company's, on a new role which has been introduced to the business. They are looking to appoint a Head of Seed Potatoes to their team in order to ensure the division has a strong voice in the overall business. There is a real opportunity to drive their overall seed potato sourcing and development needs, whilst ensuring this Business Unit continues to run at a profitable level.

The Job:
You will be working closely with the Executive Board in order to set and drive the strategy for the Seed division.
The role will be key in offering more guidance on seed and varietal development to ensure the process is as robust as possible and that the right attention is given to the right trends.
You will be developing strong relationships with both seed and ware growers as well as breeders, to ensure a stable structure for future growth.

The Candidate:
This is a role which will require a really in-depth knowledge of the potato industry, preferably with a seed potato leaning.
Given the strategic nature of this role this is going to suit someone who has had experience of driving strategy or who has been working towards this level but missing the opportunities to grow in their current environment.
Good people management and commercial acumen go without saying as you will be managing the business unit and ensuring profitable growth at all times.

Remuneration:
This will be dependent on the level of experience you bring to the role but it is aimed at attracting the best and is flexible if you are stepping up into the role or have been at the level for some time before.

If this role sounds of interest, then please get in touch with Morten Andresen on 01780 480530 or apply via the link.
