Head of Tropical and Avocado | Lincolnshire | £ Competitive

We are working with a leading fresh produce business who are looking to appoint a Head of their Tropical and Avocado division. This position is a key role for the business as this area is very significant for them and there are big growth opportunities as well. The role is mainly focused on the growers and sourcing product but you will also be leading the team who face into their retail customers as well.

The Job:
You will be responsible for leading and developing the team in line with the businesses strategic objectives and company values.
You will be building strong relationships with key growers around the world in order to build the partnerships required for continued growth and development.
You will be leading the category to ensure revenue and profit are in line with forecast and budgets.

The Candidate:
You will ideally have a strong background in sourcing a variety of products either within the Tropical category or Avocados.
Strong commercial understanding and awareness is essential as ensuring this area remains profitable and delivers great customer service levels is crucial.
As is usual with this industry, you will need to be able to operate under pressure and react to challenges quickly.
There will be the requirement to travel as needed as well.
