Health & Safety Compliance Officer | Fresh Produce | Dartford

Salary: £35-£38k
Hours: Mon-Fri (flexibility needed)

Does working for a leading supplier, who is a leader in innovation and process, into the Food industry, intrigue and interest you? If so we want to hear from you.

Ultimately this is a very straight forward H&S Coordinator role, so if you are in a similar position, you will know what is required of you from a compliance and practical stand point. What makes this different, is the environment you will be working in.

Unless you come from a direct competitor, then I would be very suprised if you have worked for a business like this in the past. Although you are ultimately ensuring the safety of the workforce and compliance of the business, there are still certain complexities that you might not have come across before, that you will have to adapt.

I also know that one of the biggest issues you will find when in the role, is that the company don't take H&S seriously. Well this won't be the case for this one. Part of a team who are industry leaders, with a strong and solid foiundation in Health, Safety and Environment, they put this at the forefront of everything they do. They are at the start of their journey with the current site, as it is still quite new so have had a consultant in for the past 6 months, helping set up the processes and procedures. This role will be about continuing all the good work done so far.

What do you need?

  • NEBOSH OR IOSH certification
  • Previous experience of HSE within a Fresh Produce business or FMCG/Production environments.
  • Strong people management/communictional skills along with a keen eye for people.
  • Ability and drive to drive the long-term site strategic plans.
