Packhouse Line Leader | Fresh Produce | Claydon

Salary: Up to £35,000 + Overtime at a 25% Premium

Hours: 5 days a week fixed rota

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Packhouse Line Leader to join an exciting fresh produce business in East Anglia. This is a hands-on leadership role within a fast-paced packhouse environment, where quality, efficiency, and teamwork are critical to success.

The Role

As Packhouse Line Leader, you will be responsible for the smooth day-to-day running of a packing line, ensuring customer orders are delivered on time, to specification, and to the highest quality standards.
You will lead by example on the line, motivating your team, operating packing machinery, and ensuring all safety, hygiene, and food standards are met at all times.

Key responsibilities include:

* Leading a packing line team to achieve daily KPI's
* Operating and overseeing packing machinery, including Top Seal and Flow Wrap equipment
* Preparing lines for start-up and managing efficient production changeovers
* Ensuring all packed product meets customer specifications and quality expectations
* Completing and maintaining accurate labels, paperwork, and production records
* Managing labour efficiently while maintaining a strong quality-first mindset
* Supporting continuous improvement and operational improvements on site

About You

This role would suit someone with strong packhouse experience who enjoys being hands-on while leading a team.

You'll ideally have:

* Previous experience working in a fresh produce packing environment
* Experience operating packing machinery
* Fluent English (spoken and written)
* Excellent attention to detail and a strong focus on quality
* Confident communication skills and the ability to motivate others
* Flexibility with working hours, particularly during peak periods
