Are you an experienced engineer looking for a role where you can take ownership, make a tangible impact, and grow with a forward-thinking business?

We're working with a well-established, ambitious company in the agricultural and fresh produce sector, currently seeking a Multiskilled Engineer to join their growing operations team in Spalding. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a hands-on, autonomous role and is looking to develop their career within a business that's investing in the future.

The Role

You'll be a key player in ensuring production across multiple packhouses runs smoothly and efficiently. You won't just be another cog in the machine - you'll have real responsibility and the freedom to make decisions day-to-day.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Taking the lead on mechanical maintenance and fabrication tasks across four operational packhouse sites

- Working alongside a small team of engineers to ensure minimal downtime and maximum efficiency

- Performing basic electrical fault-finding and repairs (we welcome candidates qualified in either mechanical or electrical disciplines, as long as you're comfortable with electrical work)

- Being adaptable and proactive - from welding to troubleshooting conveyors, no two days will be the same

- Supporting the transition and setup of a new facility due to launch by the end of next year

What We're Looking For

We're not just looking for technical skills - we want someone with the right attitude and mindset. If you're self-sufficient, hands-on, and thrive in a practical environment, this could be the perfect fit.

You should have:

- A solid background working in agricultural, food production, or packhouse environments

- Strong mechanical skills, particularly in fabrication, welding, and plant maintenance

- A basic understanding of electrical systems and willingness to assist with electrical repairs

- The confidence to work independently and manage your own workload

- A flexible, can-do attitude and a willingness to be part of a collaborative team

Why Join?

- Be part of something bigger - you'll join a small but growing team in a business with secured funding and exciting expansion plans

- Variety and autonomy - every day is different, and you'll have the freedom to make a real difference

- Long-term opportunity - there's potential for career progression and to grow with the company

If you're an experienced engineer ready for a new challenge and want to join a supportive team with a strong future, we'd love to hear from you.
