About the Role

In this role as Managing Director/General Manager you will lead the company, overseeing all functions directly or indirectly. Deliver a sustainable business on behalf of the grower owners within the co-operative in parallel with ensuring successful on farm sales and profits via BGG's sales partners. Develop and deliver a company strategy with the Executive team and under guidance/advice from the Board of Directors. This will include delivering the Group's strategic objectives and to convert the long-term vision into annual operational plans which are relentlessly executed as well as ensuring effective performance in sales volume and price by our Sales partner to deliver an overall sustainable model for growers. Ensure that contractual commitments are met (need to understand the contracts well).

The Ideal Candidate

To be considered for this role you will need to come from a financial background and have experience in the fresh produce industry, failing this as least has experience of short life foods to retailers. You will need to be able to manage both strategic, tactical and practical day to day thinking within the same time frame. Strong communication skills and a strong work ethic are a must along with the ability to lead effectively.
