Mechanical Engineer - Agricultural Equipment

We are a high-quality poultry producer with multiple sites across the UK. We are red tractor certified, which means we adhere to the highest standards of animal welfare, food safety, and environmental protection. We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team and help us maintain and improve our agricultural equipment and facilities.

What does the role entail?

  • Looking after agricultural equipment and vehicles.
  • Installing and maintaining items such as water lines, drinker systems, feeder systems, gas brooder heaters, and other agricultural equipment
  • Troubleshooting and repairing any mechanical, electrical, or plumbing issues
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and quality standards

What are we looking for?

  • Knowledge of vehicle mechanics (City and Guilds 3905)
  • Knowledge of mechanical engineering (BTech Level 3)
  • Plumbing skills
  • Knowledge of electrics, including 230/415 volts and vehicle electrics
  • Experience in working with agricultural equipment and facilities
  • A valid UK driving license
  • A proactive, flexible, and problem-solving attitude
