They have strong ties to agriculture and the finest fresh ingredients go into making their products. They are the global leaders in their sector and as an established business have a great reputation for quality. They cover products in the frozen, chilled and ambient categories in both brand and own label. They have invested significant funds into their facilities to enable them to create new and exciting bespoke products.
About the Job:
This role is focusing on their B2B division of the business and will be supplying the food manufacturers across the country. You will utilise your experience to deliver increased account growth and YOY sales. You will also look for new opportunities within the market to drive new business. You will report to the existing National Account Manager who will help guide you with your customer base and help you deliver the results required. You will be offered on the job and sector specific training to help you improve your skill set. Whilst based in the sales office near Norwich, you will cover national customers and will need to be willing to travel and spend time away each week. You will be hungry and driven to move into a full national account manager role quickly.
The Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years experience in the food industry in a commercial based role. You will be willing to learn, a strong team player and be willing to go the extra mile to ensure lasting relationships with your customers. You will have a strong interest in the food industry and will be able to keep an eye on the latest trends in the market to capitalise on any potential opportunities. You will be able to build rapport with a variety of customers, from chefs to buyers and business owners. You will be a strong communicator and a self starter.
To be considered for this role, as a minimum you will need to have 2 years experience in the food industry in a commercial role. You will need to be comfortable approaching new customers to deliver business and be a competent account manager to drive the business forward. You will be naturally inquisitive and feel comfortable asking lots of 'why' questions to help customers identify the products that can add the most value to them. You must be willing to travel nationally and stay away.
Basic salary ~£27k - £32k DOE + company car / car allowance + 15% bonus, a strong pension, health insurance and other benefits. This role also offers real potential for progression.
