About the Role
This role will focus on the delivery of commercial results with the food manufacturers in the UK. You will utilise your B2B and food industry experience to develop long term relationships with food manufactures. You will be able to help your clients make the most of the growing meat-free, vegan, vegetarian and plant protein trends in the market through your consultative sales approach and knowledge of the food and ingredients sector. You will feel comfortable pitching for and developing new business relationships. You will work closely with internal and external teams to understand and predict customer opportunities and needs. You will break down doors to connect the client and their products to the industry.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate for this role will have a proven track record of opening and developing business with large food manufacturing businesses in the UK. You will have experience in working with those customers, eg. Bakkavor, Samworth Bros, 2SFG, Greencore etc to deliver business and account growth. You will be familiar with the different ways of working within the food manufacturers and be able to demonstrate your ability and history of delivering JBP's across them. You will be a strong communicator with emotional intelligence who can adapt to the customer you are working with to negotiate effectively. You will be driven and motivated to develop a business and your skills.
In order to be considered for this position, you will, as a minimum have at least 5 years' sales experience in food manufacturing / B2B / food industry sectors. You will be able to demonstrate your ability to land new business, develop accounts and deliver JBP's. You will be a strong team player, who can work within a flat structure and lean operation, whilst delivering on your own KPI's and targets.
~£40-55k DOE + package including car/allowance, bonus, pension, healthcare etc.
The successful applicant will move through a three-stage interview process. This will include completing a presentation and a call with the European head office. This process can take time to complete and our client is committed to finding the right person for their team.
