National Account Manager | Food | Norfolk | ~£30-45k DOE
Are you a national account executive looking for further progression, or an established account manager looking to further your career? Do you have experience in dealing with the UK's major retailers or supermarkets? If so, we want to hear from you.

About Our Client
Our client is a leading seafood supplier to a mix of the major UK food and convenience retailers. They are well known for their innovation and ability to be proactive to the latest trends in the marketplace. As an established, but relatively lean business, with a hands-on senior management team they are dynamic and make business decisions quickly to best serve customers and consumers alike. This approach has enabled them to grow quickly and is the backbone of their plans to double the size of the business in the next four years. The business started as family-owned and run, but has been through an exciting period recently where the senior team own a share of the business. The business has invested significantly in its operational capability and strengthened the Board and Senior Management team. Our client's product range includes a medium-sized but recognisable brand, own label, value-added, frozen, chilled and ready to cook.

About the Role
This role is all about account management and development. You will utilise your natural curiosity and commercial acumen to help deliver solutions to the major and convenience food retailers. You will have access to retailer data and customer insight in order to spot gaps in a customer's range. This role is not about having a range of products or catalogue to go and sell to buyers. You will be proactive in your approach and look at what the retailers are doing across their categories, look at the market data and trends to create real propositions that will add value to the retailers and the end consumers. This, in turn, will drive sales, account growth, market share and penetration - all of the results you need to develop your career and remit. When you deliver, you will be rewarded and take on a bigger remit within the business. Our client wants you to progress and take on more customers and responsibility. You will need to be able to work at real pace and be able to adapt to short shelf-life food products.

The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have ~5 years'+ experience in managing/supporting the commercial relationship with UK retail accounts. You will be able to work with the retailers to create solutions, which will add value to them and their category performance. You will be proactive in your approach and will always have one eye on what the retailers are doing and what the latest trends are. You will be comfortable analysing data on consumers, retailers, market share etc to provide further insight on what the retailers are doing. Critically, you will have the commercial acumen and approach to use this knowledge and insight to identify and land opportunities to deliver commercial results. You will be comfortable communicating with the retailers you are dealing with (as well as those you aren't) consistently to ensure no commercial opportunities are missed. You will be driven to progress your career and skillset.

Minimum Requirements
Due to the niche nature of this sector, as a minimum, you will need to have experience in managing/supporting the commercial relationships with a retailer. You will need to have a great can-do attitude, be a real team player, be willing to get hands-on wherever required and want to learn as much as possible to progress yourself. You will need to be of graduate calibre and have strong numerical skills.

Salary
As a guide ~£30-45k DOE + package

Application Process
The successful candidate will move through a minimum of two interview stages, one of which will include a task/presentation.
