Want to lead change, shape culture, and make a lasting impact in one of the UK's leading young plant businesses.
This is a rare opportunity to join a forward-thinking nursery operation producing millions young plants each year.
The business is investing in a new management structure, and this newly created role will be central to driving consistency, efficiency, and collaboration across the teams.

- Work with an experienced senior team passionate about improvement.
- Support from skilled technical and operational teams.
- Access to excellent systems, innovation, and professional development
- A respected horticultural business with global backing and long-term stability
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Production, you'll play a key leadership role in bringing together the growing, quality, and technical functions under one consistent and collaborative approach.
You'll focus on people, process, and performance - ensuring that the site runs efficiently, and plants produced each year meet the high-quality standards customers expect.
Day to day, you'll:
- Lead and motivate the operational, growing, technical, and quality teams.
- Implement consistent processes and communication across departments.
- Work closely with the Head of Production and Operations Manager to align strategy and priorities.
- Review and develop systems, policies, and water strategies to improve efficiency.

- Oversee compliance, biosecurity, and quality standards across the site.
- Support commercial planning and cropping decisions alongside the senior team.
This is a fast-paced, high-volume environment and would be ideal for someone from horticulture, young plants, or fresh produce who thrives on structure, precision, and leadership.
About You
- Strong people management experience, with the ability to lead through change, unify teams, and build engagement.
- Sound technical knowledge of plant production, protected cropping, or propagation systems. This could be fast-paced horticulture crops, or protected fruit and vegetable production.
- Excellent communicator who can influence, challenge, and inspire at all levels.
- Practical, decisive, and comfortable balancing detail with big-picture goals
This isn't just about knowing how to grow plants; it's about knowing how to grow people, processes, and performance.
