Plant Area Manager - Hitchin

This well-established garden centre is part of a respected group known for quality, progression opportunities, and a strong focus on plants. They're looking for someone with solid plant knowledge and a keen commercial eye to help lead their plant area team and drive department success.

Your Role:

As the Plant Area Manager, you'll oversee the daily operations of the outdoor and indoor plant departments. You'll manage stock levels, uphold high standards of plant care and visual merchandising, and support your team in delivering excellent customer service. You'll also work closely with the centre management team to maintain a safe, efficient, and inspiring retail environment.

What We're Looking For:

Strong knowledge & passion for a wide variety of plants (trees, shrubs, perennials, indoor plants).

Supervisory or team-leader experience in a retail and/or horticultural setting.

Good commercial awareness, able to spot trends and maximise sales opportunities.

Excellent customer service skills and a proactive, hands-on approach.

A reliable, organised mindset with good time management skills
