Are you ready to step into a key leadership role where you can make your mark? This is a great opportunity to join a fast-developing garden centre that's recently reopened under new management and is now building a new, enthusiastic team.

The centre is part of a well respected group known for quality and a strong horticultural focus. With a newly laid-out site and a supportive Garden Centre Manager, they're looking for a strong manager to come in and shape the plant area.

Your Role:

As Plant Area Manager, you'll lead the day-to-day operations of the outdoor plant department, supporting a small, mostly part-time team that's still gaining garden centre experience. You'll take ownership of standards, staff development, stock control, and seasonal planning.

You'll need to be hands-on, consistent, and confident in decision-making, with the ability to coach a developing team while ensuring high levels of quality and presentation.

What We're Looking For:

  • Solid plant knowledge across hardy, seasonal, and indoor ranges

  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to guide, coach, and delegate

  • Commercially aware with good ordering knowledge

  • Resilient, methodical, and confident in a dynamic retail setting

  • Someone who thrives in a team and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves

Why Apply?

  • The chance to take on a pivotal role in a growing centre with huge potential

  • A new team and structure-be part of something being built from the ground up

  • Clear career progression in a supportive business with real horticultural values

  • Staff discounts, onsite parking, and group-wide perks
