Plant Area Manager
Hours: 37.5 hours/week (alternate weekends)
Location: West Sussex

Your Role

As Plant Area Manager, you'll lead the day-to-day running of a busy outdoor and indoor plant department, ensuring ranges are well presented, stock is maintained to high standards, and sales opportunities are maximised.

You'll manage ordering from allocations, stock volumes, and use your horticultural expertise to make informed commercial decisions that drive sales and minimise losses.

The role also includes deputising for the Centre Manager, giving you broader operational exposure and a clear pathway to further progression within the group.

What We're Looking For

• Strong horticultural knowledge - confident with plant ID, care requirements, seasonality, and plant health
• Proven retail management experience, ideally within a garden centre or plant-led environment
• Hands-on leader able to motivate, train and support a mixed team
• Commercially focused, with experience in sales reporting, stock management and minimising wastage
• Excellent organisation, attention to detail and the ability to uphold high visual and operational standards
