Are you looking for an exciting role with an innovative and dynamic business?

About our Client
Our client is passionate about growing nutritious and tasty fresh produce, that is grown pesticide-free in the UK. They are working to grow crops closer to their customers, reducing the food miles from importing crops. To do this, they are building a state-of-the-art vertical farm, where all environmental factors are perfectly controlled, meaning consistent, high-quality produce, 52 weeks of the year.

About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced agronomist to work in their state of the art facility in Redditch and will be involved in the development of additional facilities at a second location to be determined. The successful candidate will play a key role in the development of crops and therefore the business, working alongside the Production Manager, Commercial Director and the rest of the management team. You will be responsible for testing all of the variables that go into growing to ensure the best environment to grow the best crops for the best return.

The Ideal Candidate
Ideally, you will have a horticultural qualification in plant science and experience working in a commercial environment. You will have completed trials before and be confident in recording, analysing data and submitting recommendations. An interest in vertical farming is essential, as you will be regularly keeping up to date with changes in the industry, and trialling anything new accordingly. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to develop their career and step into the world of vertical farming.
