About Our Client

Our client is a well-established independent agricultural business. Due to continued growth, we're looking for a Primary Food Commodity Trader to join the team.

About the Role

In this role, you will be working with the Senior Trader to grow and maintain contracts with consumers around the UK as well as export market growth. Travel will be required to be able to support and develop new contracts. You will be responsible for Liaising closely with the farm buyers or merchant trade and providing support and information as necessary to allow them to deliver their targets. You will be managing a strong existing customer base whilst spotting opportunities to develop relationships. Large parts of the role, as with any trading role, will be market monitoring, risk assessment and price calculation.

The Ideal Candidate

We are either looking for an established food Trader looking for a new challenge or a junior Trader looking for their next steps within their career. You will be enthusiastic about the role and have a desire to provide the best service to customers and colleagues. This role is very much about the right candidate rather than the right level of trading experience, and our client has the capacity to train someone early on in their trading career, although is also open to an established trader who can hit the ground running.

The candidate should see this as a strategic, long term career option and not a stepping stone onto the next role. The business is rapidly growing and the candidate can grow with the role.
