About the role

This multifaceted role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of one of the five production teams, providing coaching and training to enhance staff performance, strategically planning and executing tasks, driving productivity, whilst maintaining a strong focus on safety.

The responsibilities extend to the efficient management of equipment and records, active participation in training sessions and strategic discussions, fostering collaboration among various departments, and vigilantly supervising crop development and thorough database upkeep. As part of a unified team, all staff members are held to the highest standards, where they are expected to prioritise health and safety, adhere unwaveringly to company guidelines, act as passionate brand advocates, exhibit loyalty, and uphold the utmost standards of cleanliness and professionalism in their workspace.

The Ideal Candidate

Are you a true plant enthusiast with a keen eye for detail and a passion for gardening? Are you ready to embark on a unique journey within the world of horticulture? We're seeking an all-around plants person, someone with a solid background in plant sales, whether it's from a garden centre or nursery.

You should possess a wealth of knowledge in plant husbandry and be ready to take the initiative to ensure our business runs smoothly.

As the ideal candidate, you'll have excellent communication skills, a 'can-do' attitude, and an unyielding commitment to both the business and your own career development. Working with this business you'll gain an exceptional insight into the life cycle of plants, from their very beginnings to when they grace the shelves of the Garden Centre.
