Quality Controller | Flowers | Cambridgeshire

We are working in partnership with a major player in the fresh produce industry as they continue to grow from strength to strength. They are looking to add to their Quality team by taking on a Quality Controller (QC) at their site based in Cambridgeshire.

You will play a key part in the Quality team as you work on the quality control of cut flowers on intake, packing out and loading. You'll ensure that the flowers meet customer specifications and are in the best possible condition.

On intake you will carry out tasks such as temperature checking and identifying any non-conformances. When it comes to working on production and positive release, you will assess the quality of the flowers, the labelling and the integrity of the product. You will also be involved in audits to improve site standards.

Candidates will have previous experience of working in a QC/QA role within fresh produce (flowers is advantageous). Due to the fast pace of the industry, you must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Other skills needed are IT, organisational, communication and a high attention to detail.

A flexible approach to work is also a must as you may be required to work longer hours during peak periods.

Shifts are 5 days out of 7. Competitive salary and excellent benefits including BUPA medical cover

This is a varied role within a company that continually looks to reward staff via promotion and career development.
